Police hunt Florida stripper Lee-Grace Dougherty and her two brothers for armed bank robbery

Lee-Grace Dougherty

A STRIPPER is on the run after being part of a heavily-armed family of bank robbers.

Lee-Grace Dougherty, 29, who works at a Florida strip joint, and her two brothers Sylan Dougherty Stanley, 26, and Ryan Douherty, 21, are wanted after a volley of shots were fired when they robbed a bank in a Valdosta, Georgia, after earlier firing at a police officer in a high-speed pursuit.

The manhunt has widened after the trio were spotted in Tennessee.

Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco told ABC News that the thrill-seeking siblings have collected a massive cache of high-powered weapons in the last few years.

"We know that Ryan several years ago purchased an AK-47 at a pawn shop. We know his brother, Dylan, also purchased several high-caliber rifles and handguns.

"We were also informed by family members that they do have a large arsenal and when we searched the house, there were no weapons or any ammunition left so we know they took them with them."

Their mother, Barbara Bell, told the New York Post: "The only safe thing, the only right thing, the only good thing to do is turn yourselves in.

"Only Mom knows what good people you are inside. I love you."

Police said the Dougherty gang has sent at least one text message to their mother since becoming fugitives that read: "There's a time for all of us to die."
